Sessions are about 50 minutes long. In individual therapy I pull from a variety of modalities including attachment-based therapy, IFS, psychodynamic therapy, and EDMR therapy to help better understand you and support you to reach your goals. Sometimes you just want to understand yourself better. Other times you want to feel like you're walking away with tangible strategies. Other times you're not sure or you want both! Either way I'm here by your side to help you find what you're looking for.

EMDR is a specific somatically-oriented therapy that often helps people work through the effects of trauma by utilizing eye movements and memories at a quicker pace than traditional talk therapy. While weekly EMDR can certainly be beneficial, some people find it difficult to start the process and “open things up” in a 53 minute session, only to have to wait a week to return to it. EMDR is designed ideally to be practiced in 90 minute sessions at a minimum for this reason. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover a 90 minute or beyond session so many of us are forced to work within the constraints of a typical 45 minute or hour-long session. However, I am excited to offer the opportunity to go deeper, faster, by offering intensives. Please reach out to me directly if this is something you are interested in learning more about.
Why “Good Enough” Therapy Services?
My work centers around the belief that you are already good enough, just as you are. “Good enough” is an inherently human quality that we all possess. When we experience chronic stress or trauma throughout our lives, it is normal to internalize negative experiences and start to believe that we are no longer enough.
However, one result of successful treatment, in my opinion, is understanding that even if you are acting in maladaptive or unhelpful ways at the present moment, you are still inherently good enough.
